Geocache Description:

Sixth of chloboo and monkeydogfish's Harry Potter series of caches.
"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince"

chloboo:

This is the sixth of the Chloboo HP Series. As soon as I got into geocaching, I decided that one favorite book series of mine could be a theme. In each of the caches in this series, there will be a clue. Write down the clue given or remember. Using all the clues, the bonus cache has a puzzle to put the clues together to get secret and special coords to the final, grand, "Giant" cache, "Thank you, J.K. Rowling!"

This is by a lake. We would wish also to remind you that there will be many Inferi trying to fool you with their silly duck costumes. Please do not mind the marks on the sidewalk. Those are just little reminders of past fire misfortunes (Inferi can't stand up to fire). You do not have any need to donate blood to the nearby rocks. The aguamenti potion in a large ditch has no need to be corrected by the Half-Blood Prince. Please mind that the jumping beans are crushed, not chopped. Don't worry. Happy finding!

This is the sixth in a series of caches celebrating J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. Soon after we started geocaching, chloboo, being a big Harry Potter reader, came up with the idea to hide a series of Harry Potter caches, one for each book, with a final large bonus geocache called "Thank you, J.K. Rowling!" In each one of chloboo's HP caches, there is a clue for this last cache, which is a mystery cache. Write down that clue or take a photo!

This is the sixth - Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

The posted coordinates are for a bench in the Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden. This is a nice garden with a great collection of native plants. They have tours and classes. To get to the final container, you'll need some magical instruction.

First - Herbology class:
Find the interpretive sign at the 'Herbology' reference waypoint and count the letters of the title (both words). Your distance (A) will be the number of letters multiplied by 35.5 .

Next - Care of Magical Creatures class:
Find the interpretive sign at the 'Care of Magical Creatures' reference waypoint and count the letters of the title. Your heading (B) will be 297 divided by this number.

Lastly - Apparating class:
Start at the bench at the posted coordinates, and project yourself A feet at a heading of B degrees. Now you are at the final GZ!
