We'll be in St. Maarten/St. Martin on 12-12-12. Come join fellow geocachers for a unique flash mob event at the Sunset Bar on Maho Beach on the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Maarten. The event will start promptly at 12:12 PM. It will end fifteen minutes later, or when the first plane flies by.
The unique location of the airport, right next to the Sunset Bar and Maho Beach, give you an incredible experience: Sandblasting. So strong, that humans, beach items, and even cars have been thrown into the air. At Sunset Bar loudspeakers allow you to listen to the communication between pilots and controller on approach. The aircraft accelerates the engines at start, and people (not the smart ones) try to hold to the airport fence despite the thrust and hot exhaust fumes. The sand performs like a powerful sandblaster and people are blown into the water or jump in order to escape the painful contact with the skin. Please come celebrate with us and watch the show. Because, in nine days, according to the Mayan calendar, civilization is over, anyway.
