Geocache Description:

This is the usual fantastic South Transdanubian Regional Cacher Meeting (DDRKT) held twice a year.
All are welcome!

Great fun, good hike, competition, chance to meet other cachers, exchange TBs, to learn more about your GPS and geocaching!

Location
Bánya, located 20 km southwest of Kaposvár, is possibly the smallest village in Somogy county. It is a true pearl of Somogy and the Zselic area, rich in natural and historical treasures. The headquarter (Base) of the event is the Bányai Turisztikai Centrum (Tourist Center of Bánya). The competition will be near the Base.

Stages to be found will be placed within a 2.5 km radius.

Events
On Friday, December 7th: Before-party
Have fun and meet fellow geocahers!
Local venison stew will be offered upon request. (1,800 Ft/portion).
Please, bring you own plate and cup, do your share to protect the environment!

ATTENTION: The event is partly outdoors, wear several layers of cloths! Though the ice-tea will keep you warm from inside, it may be cold outside!

Tourist quality accommodation can be arranged on site. Please, drop me an e-mail if you are interested.
You may find higher quality accommodation - and several great geocaches - in nearby pretty Kaposvár.

On Saturday, December 8th: The Main Event
From 9:00 am: Registration, start of the competition:
The registration fee is 1,000 Ft/team. This includes your personal badge and 1 Santa Claus gift if the team includes a child. More badges and Santa Claus gifts can be requested for an additional 250 Ft each.
Deadline for registration: November 30th for the badge and gift, December 6th for the lunch. Please, try to arrange all at the same time. You are welcome even if you arrive unregistered, but you won't get a badge and may not be able to get lunch either.
Till 3:00 pm: Competition:
Participants will have to find stages. Coordinates will be uploaded to your GPS by the organizer team. (Bring your cable, if your GPS needs a special one). Some of the stages you MUST visit, others are voluntary, you may visit as many as you want.
At each stage you will find a kind of something. To make it simple we just call it something, as it is a real secret what exactly the something is. Take one something from each stage. Don’t take more than one! Taking more than one from the same stage will not give you additional points. Each something is worth 5 points.
Here comes the twist! If you can pair two somethings from two different stages in some logical way, your points get doubled. Instead of 5+5=10, your two somethings will be worth 20 points. If you can connect three, your points triple: 5+5+5=45!
The goal is to collect as many points as you can. In case of a tie the team that earned the same number of points but hiked a shorter distance will win. So, no need to rush, better planning is more what you need!
Please, set your GPS to 1-3 sec or 1-5 yard tracking. Too "scarce" tracks cannot be evaluated!
1:00 pm - 3 pm: Lunch: bring your own or enjoy a nice warm gulyás soup and a langallo (oven baked, pizza kind of dough with garlic and sour cream) (1,000 Ft/portion)
1:00 pm - 4:30 pm: Find what Santa Claus has left for you! (Sorry, it is for children only)
4:00 pm: announcement of the results

Please, note in your "will attend" log
- how many adults and how many children are there in your party
- how many are coming to the before-party and would like venison stew
- how many portions of lunch would you need on Saturday
