Cam de Prats

Connu des bayonnais pour ses maisons de repos, Cam de Prats (champ de prairie) est aussi le site sous lequel passent les tunnels ferroviaires de la ligne de Toulouse et de Irun. Du haut de la colline arborée, on peut aperçevoir les ponts de l'autoroute, de la nationale et du chemin de fer dont le dernier a fait la une des journaux en 2012 : Un pont SCNF en chantier s'effrondre sur l'Adour. Pendant les travaux, la circulation continue sur le Pont de Fer (l'ancien) en attendant la mise en service du nouveau pont.

Cam de Prats (Field of Grasslands) is well-known in Bayonne for its mental institutions and its nursing homes but it is also the ground for two railway tunnels: one for the Toulouse line and one for South line. From up there, you can catch glimpses of three bridges, one for the motorway, one for the highway, and presently two for the train. The old railway bridge has been kept in use by an accident in 2012 where the new bridge under construction collapsed in the water nearly breaking the old one.
