I'm in a wide open space, I'm standing
I'm all alone and staring into space
That's from a 1996 song I particularly like by Mansun. Now whilst the song won't have the same appeal to all the cachers out there I expect a few of you will appreciate the beauty of a real wide open space.
From Princetown follow the bridlepath towards Batchelors Hall, branching off to the right just before reaching it. Once you've gone through the last gate and enter open moorland there's a slight incline. Then it's up over the brow of the hill and......... there it is, a wide open space.
A vast expanse of Dartmoor, mile upon mile of it, will be visible on a good day. The ground in this area is generally quite wet so walking shoes required, along with appropriate hats, coats etc., in case a good day turns bad.
The cache is a small clip and lock box, the log is inside a plastic bag which is inside a film pot for extra protection from the elements. No swaps, but maybe enough room for the odd geocoin/TB.
The cache has been placed in accordance with the DNPA guidelines.
