Geocache Description:

An event?  Outside?  IN NOVEMBER?!
That's right!  From 2pm until everyone gets too cold on November 24th the little town of Rye will be hoppin'.
So bring your cachin' buddies, bring some stories to share, or just bring yourself, but most of all, bring your coats, because mtnbirders, along with Mama-n-Shea, are hosting an outdoor winter event way down here in Rye.

In the beautiful Rye Park, just west of the great Rye metroplex, there is a pavillion with a fireplace at both ends.  We will be bringing some wood to have some toasty fires (provided we get snow and the fire danger drops).  We will also have some cookies, coffee, hot chocolate, hot cider, and more.
There will be some small giveaways to increase the fun.  There are several caches in the park and around Rye, and some extra caches hidden around the park just for the event.

What to bring:
Just You and anyone else you can "push, pull, or drag" along.
In fact, we'll be "dragging" along our caching friends from Oklahama, Oblander4cachers, so they can meet some Colorado cachers. Optional stuff to bring:
There is a sledding hill next to the paviliion.   If it has snowed enough, sleds, inner tubes, and toboggans might be fun.
If you have logs (as in wood, not pieces of paper in baggie) you would like to bring, feel free.  The more wood, the longer the fires will burn.
Blankets, canvas chairs, cushions, etc.  There are several picnic tables, but it never hurts to be prepared.
Gloves and boots if you plan on hunting some of the caches around the park.  They may be covered in snow.

Since it will be at the end of November, it might be very cold.  Don't worry, if it is just too cold or too snowy, we will move to the indoor cafe in Rye.  After all, we want this to be fun!
