Geocache Description:

A cache near Kali Limenes.

Kali Limenes (i.e. Good Ports) is located 75km southwest of Heraklion and is the largest seaside village in Asterousia Mountains. It is one of the very few coastal areas of Asterousia, where you can get through asphalt road. To get here, you have to drive from village Pompia, in Messara Plain and follow the road to Pigaidakia village.
On the west of Kali Limenes, on the hill, you will meet the chapel of St. Paul, built on site of an earlier church of 1700, in honor of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew that visited Kali Limenes on November 15, 1992. Next to the church, you can visit a small cave, where Apostle Paul is said to have lived for two years, before continuing his journey to Rome. Indeed, Paul himself reports in Acts that he once landed in “Limniones” after a big storm, but it is unlikely that he lived in the region for that long. West of the Church, you should visit the beautiful beach of Stena WHERE IS THE NEXT CACHE ON A LITTLE ISLAND.
The first stage you have to count the round rivets on the entrance door of the cave church.
This is number A.
The second stage you have to count the birds around the church.
This is number B.
Then to get the final coordinates this is the form.
N 34°55.567+A   E 024°48.31xB
