Geocache Description:

This cache is in resident or permit parking only Nahant. We suggest you pickup a day parking permit at the Police Station on your way in (no cost). Bailey Hill Park is small but very scenic - you will enjoy the views.

The cache is in a camo green plastic bottle. Please tighten the cover when you are done so everything stays dry. This should be an enjoyable walk into a nice location.

Bailey's Hill was used for survelliance and weaponry in WWI & WWII and as a Nike Missile site during the 1950's. The flat green of the park housed soldiers in tents, and a rifle range. The wooded hillsides attract birds and butterflies and the shoreline is active with terns and shorebirds in summer and a variety of waterfowl in winter. Unless you lived in Nahant, you probably would never have heard of this park.
