Geocache Description:

Saint Nicholas, also called Nikolaos of Myra, was a historic 4th-century saint and Greek Bishop of Myra in Lycia.
Because of the many miracles attributed to his intercession, he is also known as Nikolaos the Wonderworker.
Born: AD 270, Patara
Died: December 6, 346 AD, Myra

The first services were conducted in a private house by clergy and lay readers from St Katharine's, Uitenhage.

In 1939 the land on which the church stands was obtained and over the next few years many generous donations and other assistance from the village people led to the construction of the church for R6000.

It was dedicated in July 1953 and consecrated in October 1960.
