It is best to avoid looking for the cache on Sundays between 09.00 and 13.30, unless attending for a service as well!
The church does not look like a church! It is a former engineering training centre, which was closed for several years until it was purchased by Aylesbury Vineyard Church, which had previously held services in local schools. Due to the growth of the congregation, there are two identical services on Sunday mornings. The church is also active on other days.
Through the Storehouse project (which the CO was the manager between 2010 and 2015) furniture, household goods, clothing, baby equipment and emergency food parcels were provided free of charge to those in crisis situations and financial hardship. The church passionately believe in loving and caring for people in need, by providing practical help and support through various other compassion initiatives. Currently, their foodbank is the main focus. It is open on Tuesday and Saturday mornings.
The church is part of the Association of Vineyard Churches which is described as a neocharismatic evangelical Christian denomination. In the UK there are around 100 churches, and worldwide, over 1,500.
A live stream service is provided every Sunday as well as two in-person services - at 09.30 and 11.30 which, including childrens' church has over 250 people attending.
The cache is a small magnetic tube. It is not on church property. Originally it had been a 35ml pot but vanished when the barrier it was placed in was removed by the church. It received 52 favourite points in six years. It was then placed in a different host, but in autumn 2020 that host also was removed.
Geocaching Etiquette. geocaching.com states under 'Help Center' in Paragraph 1.7: 'We like to keep things fun for everyone, so we have a few rules we encourage everyone to follow. Sign both the logbook and log your find online to get your smiley. Geocache owners love reading about your experience'. There are more rules, but this is the first one. This cache owner requests that if on the rare occasion geocachers are unable to sign, an explanation is given in their log. A photo of the cache, if possible should then be sent through the messaging system.
