Geocache Description:

The Belknap Bridge crosses the McKenzie River near the town of McKenzie Bridge. This bridge is the fourth built across this span of the river since 1890. The 120 foot long bridge is open to traffic and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It’s strong enough to accommodate heavy logging trucks. Lane County has more covered bridges than any other county west of the Mississippi River. 17 covered bridges remain. 14 of them are still open to traffic.
