No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you. The water really is that blue. Once a majestic waterfall, Tamolitch Falls (aka Blue Pool) now flows underground and emerges in a pristine pool. In the 1960’s, water from the falls was diverted for hydroelectric use. The water is so clear; the pool looks like it’s only a few feet deep. It’s actually up to 30 feet in some places. Part of the McKenzie River Trail, hikers and bikers flock to Tamolitch during the summer.
