Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series of 8 caches and a bonus forming a circular walk near the Bravura Lake. It complements our shorter series around the Barragem. The Barragem was constructed to form this lake to supply water to the coastal towns.

Full details of the series appear on the web page for the first cache in the series, GC3XFMN Bravura 1 - Burnt Out.

To find the bonus you will need to collect the six values A to F from the 8 caches - each is repeated at least once so that you will still be able to locate the bonus even if you cannot find one of the caches or if it goes missing. Two codes are written in this cache's logbook and elsewhere on the cache.

This is a reasonable size cache which we have loaded with swap items and a trackable.

Fantastic view from here.

Don't forget to note down the numbers for the bonus before you move on.

To reach the next cache take the smaller path uphill until you get to a marker post at N37° 12.171 W008° 42.776 where you need to turn right. There is usually a small path to follow although sometimes they plough the land to create a fire break - if the path has been ploughed head SSW following your GPS. The original path will reappear at the next cache location.

This cache is brought to you by Frango & Chips.
