Time: 12:00 - 12:30 p.m. ("Dip" @ 12:15 sharp!)
Place: French River Wharf, French River, PEI
Purpose: Social Fun (freezing your "naughty parts" is fun??)
Do ya wanna start the new year with a FTF, maybe purge the toxins of New Year's Eve or live vicariously through another? If "Yes", this event is for you -- the old "dip & shrink" or "squat & scream" event is back!
This is our 3rd Annual Polar Bear Dip Event, preceded by:
1. Shakin' (Not Stirred): 2012 Polar Bear Dip (GC380NK)
2. Hair of the Dog, Frozen Cojones Event (GC2E7A0)
Here's your chance to chip away at the old "bucket list" and "Join the Polar Bear Club". If you don't want to go in the water, come out anyway and cheer on those who do. There will also be a new, nearby cache released in conjunction with the Event, so grab a group FTF.
We'll then wrap it all up with hot chocolate & coffee and rootie's "smokin' chili" at Hacienda del Nimrod/Casa Rootie (BYOB if you didn't get enough last night).
NOTE:
Nimrod will don scuba gear and be the rescue diver in the water this year, and all polar bear wannabes will need to sign a release waiver before taking the plunge.
The "group FTF cache hunt" will commence precisely at 12:00 noon, followed by the "dip & shrink" at 12:15 p.m., and chili scoff at Nimrod & rootie's at 12:30 p.m. or whenever cachers thaw out and get there! Whooo Yeaah!!
