Great Detectives: Philip Marlowe Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

The WBs: I was considering re-deployment or transferring ownership on the detectives, as circumstances are unfortunately preventing the maintenance I should be providing. Archiving is the best option, based on the tone of the DNF logs and dwindling interest in caches in the "unknown" category that are not challenge caches. Thanks for playing!

Geocache Description:

Small container. Posted coordinates are for parking. Neighboring trees groan interestingly on a breezy day. Starting a new TB here commemorating a different series of caches, BIBB.

Raymond Chandler, who created Philip Marlowe, was born in Chicago but spent his early years living in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. His mother moved him to London, England after his father abandoned them.

Philip Marlowe was a tough but morally upright private detective who lived in Los Angeles. He has been portrayed in films and television shows by Humphrey Bogart, Robert Montgomery, Powers Boothe, James Garner, Elliott Gould, Dick Powell, Danny Glover, James Caan and Robert Mitchum.

Notable Marlowe novels by Chandler include The Big Sleep, Farewell, My Lovely, The Lady in the Lake and The Long Goodbye.

Here’s a composite photo of Philip Marlowe, consisting of four of the aforementioned actors. Determine their identities and years of birth from top to bottom; they get younger as you go. Add all four birth years together to get the key number called x. Perform the math equations indicated to unlock the final location. (Remove decimals from quotients to leave integers, without any rounding.)

To be a little more fair this time, I figured I'd use a coord verifier that will let you try a few different answers without locking you out so soon. You can check your answers for this puzzle on GeoChecker.com.
