CLAPS: 2012 FALL CITO Saturday,
October 13, 2012

Boat launching promptly at 9:15 a.m. from
Spring Gulley








We will be launching from Spring Gulley (GZ for coords), located where Spring Gulley meets Red Bluff. Yes, that's right -- we're launching in the median -- in the middle of nowhere. The D of the D/T for this event has been bumped a half-notch for this inconvenience.


Bring a garbage bag or two. A reaching stick of some kind is often easier to use than your paddle. A fishing net may be useful if you have one. Gloves are recommended.


There will be someone at GZ around 7:45 a.m.ish so people can drop their kayaks, canoes, rafts at GZ.
Again: recommended parking is at Bay Area Park near the boat launch (see waypoint location, below) and shuttle back to the launch point.


Things all paddlers should have / know: Paddlers should always wear life jackets, and take plenty of sunscreen and water and/or sports drink. Sunglasses and a hat are highly recommended, as are more liquids than you think you'll ever need. Gas engines are prohibited everywhere we will be -- stick to paddling.
