Geocache Description:

Please plan to join GONIL as we clean-up along the North Shore Bike Path in Lake Bluff, between Bradley Road and Waukegan Road. Coordinates given are for the Waukegan Road end.

Since this CITO is falling so close to Halloween, come dressed in costume! There will be trick-or-treating for youngsters and the young-at-heart along the bike path as we clean.

We will meet in the parking lot across the street, near the Panera, at 9:00am to sign the log, then cross the street as a group to start the clean-up. (Parking coordinates: N42 16.756 W087 52.603)

This is event is brought to you by GONIL and ALL ARE WELCOME!

When: Saturday, October 27, 2012
Time: 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Join us for lunch afterwards!
Lunch With The Clean-Up Crew!

This is the 5th year that GONIL has participated in the Adopt-A-Road program in Lake County. The section we are responsible for is actually a bike path between Libertyville and Lake Bluff. The clean-up should take about 90 minutes (less if we have a lot of folks, more if only a few). Lake County has posted a sign along this section of bike path announcing our contribution to keeping their land (your land, our land) clean. Bring gloves and your own trash picker-uppers. Garbage bags and safety vests will be provided by the county. If you have any 5-gallon buckets (like the orange ones from the local home improvement stores) bring them along; they are really handy for collecting trash and then putting it into the trash bags. There are caches located along or near the bike path as well as others in the general vicinity so bring your GPSr, too.
