Join GeocacheAlaska! for this Summer's 3rd 2012 Adopt-A-Highway CITO event!


The CIRCUS is coming to town, well between Anchorage and Girdwood anyway. GeocacheAlaska and Ring Master Fuzzybelly is calling on Geocachers from far reaches to unite for CITO along the Seward Highway. Pick up trash and enjoy in the fun.

GeocacheAlaska has a big day planned for cachers from all over the country, and it all starts off with a CIRCUS. Then later in the day the INDIAN SUMMER PICNIC

Come see the BIZARRE, come see the ODDITIES, come see the RIDICULOUSNESS :) Ring Master Fuzzybelly will astound and amaze you with his raucous riots and death defying stunts.

Tight rope walking, Sward swallowing, a Strong Man, Amazing Animal tricks, and the Tallest Cacher in the world. And for the most amazing feat of all, Fuzzybelly will dive from the top of the Big Top into a single cup of water.

  • FORECAST: I spoke with Mother Nature and scheduled sunny weather

We will be meeting promptly at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 23. All volunteers will need to participate in a very brief (10 min. approx.) safety orientation as required by the State of Alaska.

Please be sure to dress appropriately. The State of Alaska suggests wearing long-sleeved shirts, sturdy, long pants and hard-soled shoes or boots. ***Sorry, but pets and children under 11 years of age are not permitted to attend this event per the conditions set by the State of Alaska. If you have a safety vest, please feel free to bring it along. If you do not have a safety vest, one will be provided for you. Other items you may want to bring along are a pair of work gloves and a respirator mask. We will be bringing nitrile gloves and some extra respirator masks should they be needed. Also, please try to carpool if you are able to in order to minimize our impact on parking. If you have a truck and are willing to haul trash after the clean up, please contact fuzzybelly.

Please plan on an approximately 45 minute drive from Anchorage to Girdwood. How long the event lasts depends on how many volunteers are able to attend.
