Geocache Description:

Keš vás přivede k zajímavé dřevěné stavbě – arcibiskupskému zámečku v Bílé.

The cache will bring you to an interesting wooden construction - Archbishop's mansion in the Bílá.

Nechalo ho vystavět olomoucké arcibiskupství v letech 1903 – 1906. Zámeček sloužil jako zázemí pro lovecké výpravy v hlubokých lesích okolo Bílé. Zámeček hostil významné osobnosti – zajížděl sem arcibiskup Prečan či Msgr. Jan Šrámek (předseda lidovců a místopředseda vlády).
Dřevěná stavba upoutá zejména věží se strmou střechou. Plášť zámečku i střechy jsou kryté šindelem a zámeček díky tomu dobře koresponduje s místní architekturou. Zámeček si dodnes zachoval původní vzhled a slouží jako penzion. K zámečku patřila i vedle stojící konírna. Na jejím štítě a přední zdi se zachovaly reliéfy koňských hlav. Konírna dodnes slouží svému původnímu účelu. V roce 2008 byla vedle zámečku postavená dřevěná kaple sv. Huberta.
Auto můžete nechat na parkovišti přímo vedle zámečku, cesta ke keši nevede přes pozemek náležející k zámečku.

It was built by Olomouc archdiocese in the years 1903 - 1906. Mansion served as a base for hunting expeditions in the deep woods around the Bílá. Chateau hosted celebrities - Archbishop Prečan or Msgr. Jan Sramek (Chairman of the Christian Democrat and Deputy Prime Minister).
Mansions main feature is steep roof. Whole building is covered with shingles therefore corresponding well with the local architecture. Mansion has retained its original appearance and is used as a guesthouse. Nearby stable was also part of archbishopric belongings. On the shield and front walls were preserved reliefs of horse heads. Stable is still used for its original purpose. St. Huberts chapel was built next to the mansion in 2008.
Leave your car in the parking lot right next to the castle, the path to the cache is not through land belonging to the mansion.
