Het betekend eigenlijk een geheel nieuwe puzzel maken. Dat gaan we niet meer doen.

Geocache Description:

[NL] Korte offset cache over verhard terrein.
Bij het startpunt zijn parkeermogelijkheden.
Rond "oud en nieuw" kan de bibliotheek weg zijn omdat hij in het verleden is opgeblazen door vuurwerk.

[ENG] Short offset cache over paved area.
Around New Year the Library will be moved inside temporarily to avoid damage by fireworks.
At the start is parking space.


De Vrije Leesbibliotheek - The Little Free Library

Todd Bol, uit Hudson Wisconsin, wilde iets doen aan de nagedachtenis aan zijn moeder, een voormalig lerares, die een liefhebber was van boeken. In 2010 bedacht hij een mini bibliotheek. Hij plaatste een groot formaat vogelhuis met daarin boeken in zijn voortuin. Lid worden of betalen hoeft niet voor het lenen van een boek. Iedereen mag er gebruik van maken onder het mom van "take a book, leave a book" ofwel leen een boek en plaats een ander terug. Zo verandert de inhoud van de bibliotheek regelmatig. Maar als je een boek erg goed vindt, mag je het zelfs houden.

De vrije leesbibliotheek werd heel positief ontvangen en in korte tijd verschenen er steeds meer van deze mini bibliotheekjes. Samen met zijn vriend Rick Brooks zorgde hij voor een website met informatie en bouwtekeningen om het idee verder te ondersteunen.

Ondertussen staan er al veel van deze bibliotheekjes in Amerika maar ook daarbuiten zoals op deze kaart is te zien.
Ook in Nederland staan er nu een paar o.a in Zutphen, Nijmegen, Beesd en in Eindhoven.
Bibliothecaris Bert startte de mini bibliotheek in Eindhoven in april 2012. Bert richt zich uitsluitend op de jeugdige lezer. Hij maakt zich zorgen over de ontlezing en hoopt met zijn boekenkast/kist de liefde voor het boek bij kinderen te vergroten. In de eerste 4 maanden zijn ongeveer 600 jeugdboeken van eigenaar gewisseld. De schooljeugd stopt regelmatig bij zijn kast om te kijken of er wat nieuws in staat. Omdat je een mooi boek ook mag houden, slinkt de voorraad langzaam.

Mocht je een of meerdere jeugdboeken over hebben die je kunt missen, dan zijn die erg welkom. Terwijl je je log schrijft, kun je ze toevoegen aan het boekenbestand (optioneel). Schrijf in dat geval ook in je log welk boek je achterlaat.

Bij de coördinaat bovenaan deze listing vindt je een vierkant mozaïek met tegels. Uit hoeveel verschillende kleuren bestaat deze?
A= aantal kleuren.
Op enkele meters afstand ziet je een veel groter, langwerpig mozaïek met tegels.
B= (het aantal grote vlakken-2)/10
Aan de overkant van de straat staan een aantal grote houten plantenbakken.
C= het aantal plantenbakken.
D= het aantal tegels in de breedte van het grote mozaïek.
E= het aantal ronde tegels in het mozaïek.

Todd Bol, from Hudson Wisconsin, wanted to do something to remember his late mother, a former teacher, who was really fond of books. In 2010 he invented The Little Free Library. In front of his house he placed a large cabinet with books. Being a member or paying money was not required to borrow a book. Everybody could use it . The slogan became "take a book, leave a book" . In this way the contents changes regularly, but if you really liked a book you could even keep it.

There was much enthusiasm for The Little Free Library and in a short while more of them appeared. Together with his friend Rick Brooks he started a website giving information and library builders plans to promote the idea further.

In the meantime many more Little Libraries were build in the US and abroad as can be seen on this map.
Even in the Netherlands we have them. In Zutphen, Nijmegen, Beesd and in Eindhoven for example.
Librarian Bert started his Little Free Library in Eindhoven in April 2012. Bert focused on the youth. He particularly worried about the fact that the young people are reading less. He hopes that his box/cabinet will increase the love for books by young people. The first four months 600 books already have changed ownership. Youth cycling to school on their bikes stop regularly to see what is new in the library. Due to the fact that you can even keep a book the amount of books decreases slowly over time.

At the coordinates at the top of this listing you will find a squire mosaic of tiles. How many colors does it have?
A= the number of colors.
At a few meters distance you will see a much larger mosaic consisting of tiles.

At the opposite side to the street you will find a number of large wooden planters.
C= the number of wooden planters.
D= the number of tile on the short side of the large mosaic.
E= the number of round tiles in the mosaic.
