Nearly three years ago treasuredtrio and I first met. We met outside of geocaching, but our third date was to the first SWOG event a couple weeks after our first meeting. Since then geocaching has played a huge part in our relationship. It has taken us on many small and large adventures, has opened our eyes to the local area around us, allowing us to know places we may have never known existed. It has added to our travels, we have cached in Michigan and Scotland, along with seeing larger portions of Ontario and into Quebec. It has also provided us with ample time to be together and get to know each other. We got engaged through geocaching at one of my caches in Scotland, http://coord.info/GC1Y0XR , Invershin Foot Bridge. It will also determine our future honeymoon destination via my Thomas the Turkey Travel Tag, http://coord.info/TB417V4 , which is currently in Portugal.

Most importantly geocaching has opened our relationship to a whole sphere of people that we would have never otherwise met. People who have become good friends to us. With that in mind we are inviting the caching community to join us for our special day. We have 20 places on our guest list that we would like our caching friends to fill. Please log a 'Will Attend' that includes the number of people in your party. We will list those attending and cap things off at 20. If you find that you're unable to attend after you've logged a 'Will Attend' please let us know so that we can open up those spaces again. The atmosphere will be casual, there is no huge wedding party or over-the-top fancy location. If you wear a tuxedo or evening gown you WILL be out of place! Dress to be comfortable (you have no idea how many people have asked us what appropriate attire will be!) Our only request is that camo is kept as an accent. In keeping with the many events we have held this year our wedding is a potluck. We are setting the theme with a pig roast (along with some turkeys and chickens on the grill) and ask that in lieu of a gift that you bring a side dish or desert to compliment the theme.
