SLO: Peto in šesto Triglavsko jezero oz. Dvojno jezero (1685 m) ima barvo akvamarina. Obe jezeri loči morenski nasip – ravno delovanje ledenikov je ustvarilo in preoblikovalo kotanje v katerih se danes na jurskih apnencih pojavljajo jezerca. Ob visokem vodostaju, najpogosteje spomladi, se jezeri združita. Severno od Petega jezera stoji Koča pri Triglavskih jezerih, ena izmed prvih planinskih postojank v naših gorah.
V Dvojnem jezeru živi po dosedanjih ugotovitvah 85 vrst rastlin (alg) in 40 vrst živali. Med njimi tudi posebnost – grbasta oblika rakca Chydorus Sphaericus. V bližnjem Močilcu pa so našli 0,7 mm velikega rakca Psevdomoraria Triglavensis, endemit Triglavskih jezer.
Zaradi ohranitve neokrnjene narave kopanje v Dvojnem jezeru ni dovoljeno!
Zaklad: spomladi ob taljenju visoke snežne odeje voda lahko poplavi dolino do nivoja planinske koče, zato smo zaklad, tudi zaradi obilice bunkljev, postavili na višje ležeče področje in stran od uhojenih poti. Je pa od zaklada lep pogled na jezero in kočo v ozadju.
ENG: The fifth and sixth Triglav lakes or The double lake (1685 m) has the color of aquamarine. Both lakes are separated by a moraine embankment - it was the action of glaciers that created and reshaped the hollows in which lakes appear on Jurassic limestones today. At high water levels, most often in spring, the lakes merge. North of the Fifth Lake stands Koča pri Triglavskih jezerih, one of the first mountain lodges in our mountains.
According to the findings so far, 85 species of plants (algae) and 40 species of animals live in Dvojno jezero. Among them is a special feature - the humpback shape of the shrimp Chydorus Sphaericus. Psevdomoraria Triglavensis, an endemic of the Triglav Lakes, was found in nearby Močilec.
Due to the preservation of unspoiled nature, swimming in the Double Lake is not allowed!
Cache: in the spring, when the high snow cover melts, the water can flood the valley to the level of a mountain hut, so we placed the cache on a higher lying area and away from paths, also due to the abundance of hikers. However, from the hidding spot is a beautiful view of the lake and the hut in the background.
