Located on Strauber Memorial Highway is a little known park in the making named Pasco Palms Preserve. This cache was placed along it's main trail to lure cachers to it's natural beauty. The only entrance to the park is on Strauber (see photo above) approximately 2/10 of a mile south of the entrance to Eagle Point Park. Coordinates for the entrance are N28 13.304 W082 44.924. Parking is available either at Eagle Point ($2 fee) or roadside near the Pasco Palms entrance (free). Do not park roadside north of the guardrail unless you enjoy citations. The park is open sunrise to sundown and thus far there are no facilities. At this time there is only one hiking trail of approximately 1/2 mile in length but future plans are to add a boardwalk across the wetlands near Sawyers Basin. You're looking for a camoed lock-n-lock with room for small swag. Tree cover may affect your GPSr reading.
