Toda a zona do concelho de Vila do Bispo é rica em aspectos geológicos diversificados. Na zona desta cache predominam os calcários dolomíticos, margas e dolomitos, sendo estas rochas sedimentares do Jurássico Superior (161,2 – 145,5 Milhões de anos e designado de Malm). Devido à fragilidade destes tipos de rochas, têm ocorrido ao longo de milhares de anos, fenómenos de fragmentação e deslizamento de rochas. Estes são causados pela erosão marítima ou pela escorrência de águas da chuva, que se infiltram pelos solos retirando certas camadas de materiais mais sensíveis. Tudo isto tem dado origem a detalhes, como o que a cache mostra, assim como a várias dolinas existentes por ali.
A cache é um pequeno tupperware escondido num local de difícil acesso. Exige uma caminhada por terreno escorregadio e subir/atravessar algumas rochas. Se tiver problemas com alturas e terrenos escorregadios não faça esta cache. Também não é boa ideia fazer a cache sozinho, pois está num local isolado e onde pode não ser possível comunicar para o exterior com telemóveis. A sua segurança em primeiro lugar.
Esta cache está no Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e da Costa Vicentina. Não se esqueçam então de ajudar a preservar a Natureza e a beleza natural do local, algum lixo que encontrem no local ou pelos acessos levem-no para junto dos contentores do parque de estacionamento - Cache In, Trash Out!

The whole area of Vila do Bispo is rich in diverse geological features. This cache area is dominated by dolomitic limestones, marls and dolomites, which are sedimentary rocks of the Upper Jurassic (161.2 to 145.5 Million years and designated as
Malm). Due to the fragility of some of these rock types, have occurred over thousands of years, fragmentations and rockslides. These are caused by erosion of the sea or overland flow of rainwater that infiltrates the soil, removing certain layers of sensitive materials. All this has given rise to geologic details such as the cache shows as well as several
sinkholes existing there. .
The container is a small tupperware hidden in a place of difficult access. Requires a walk down through a slippery path and climb/cross some rocks. If you have problems with heights and slippery slopes don’t do this cache. It’s also not a good idea to make the cache alone because it is an isolated place and where it may not be able to communicate abroad with mobile phones. Your safety first.
This cache is in the Natural Park of Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina. Then do not forget to help preserve nature and natural beauty of the place, any garbage you have find on the place or during the walk please take it to the container in the car park - Cache In, Trash Out!
