How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

This bison tube is a guest in an ant's nest. You might not like to get too close to it with your bare hand. A tool is needed. Bring your own pen to sign the log sheet.

The ants seem to have abandoned this nest long ago. Now the cavity is deposited with dirt. The cache is virtually impossible to retrieve by hand, and scraping it out with a stick probably won't work either. You will need a special high-tech tool. After retieving the container you may want to lay the cache on the grass before opening it so as to let the ants (if any) run away, or else to wipe off the dirt.

A suitable retrieval tool is no longer provided because it was muggled too often - so please bring your own 6-inch nail - or better still use your car's jack handle / wheel spanner.

To replace the cache you will need a different primitive tool to "stick" it back - or simply use your hand.
