Raid de Fontenoy: La gare Traditional Geocache

La compagnie du capitaine Coumès approche de la gare, emmenée par un clairon du nom de Thomassin qui, étant originaire de Fontenoy, sert de guide. Mais celui-ci trébuche et tombe avec tout son attirail. Le bruit alerte la sentinelle : « Wer da ? ». Mais déjà Coumès a bondi et lui fend le crâne d’un coup de sabre. À l’intérieur, les soldats ont pris les armes et apparaissent à la porte de la gare. Devant les baïonnettes françaises, ils reculent précipitamment. Au cours d’une brève échauffourée, plusieurs Allemands sont blessés ou faits prisonniers, les autres préfèrent s’enfuir. Les fils du télégraphe sont arrachés puis la voie ferrée est détruite sur quelques dizaines de mètres.
