I spent the day with my family, swimming at Joe's Valley Reservoir, but before I participated in the fun I just had to go for a hike. I went about a mile and a half up the CCC Trail, gaining about 1,100 feet of elevation in the process. I went just far enough to get cell service, placed the cache, then returned back to the highway and went for a swim. It was quite refreshing after the hike!
The cache is hidden in the crook of two large ponderosa pine trees, where a third ponderosa trunk has collapsed between the two still standing. There are a few rocks placed on top of the cache to secure it, so please return them how you found 'em.
