A Ponta e o Pico do Ninho do Guincho (215m) ficam situados na parte Nordeste da ilha de Porto Santo. A sua designação poderá ter origem na observação no local, de uma espécie migradora ocasional, o Guincho-comum (Chroicocephalus ridibundus), uma pequena gaivota, relativamente abundante em Portugal, de julho a março.
A caminho e no sopé do Pico do Guincho poderá observar a imponente face Norte do Pico Branco, o Ilhéu das Cenouras, a Baixa do Meio e mais afastado da costa, o Ilhéu de Fora. Para Oeste, salienta-se a perspetiva do Pico Juliana, com o seu afloramento rochoso em forma cónica e na base uma pequena, mas vigorosa floresta de cupressus.
A Cache: Num pequeno desvio do início da vereda de acesso à Terra Chã-Pico Branco, siga até o topo da encosta (RF2) e depois, pela cumeada, descer até ao sopé do Pico do Guincho, onde encontrará esta cache. Progrida com algum afastamento das falésias. Seja prudente, avalie as suas capacidades e o caminho que tem a percorrer. Depois de registar esta cache, deixe tudo como encontrou.

The Ponta and the Pico do Ninho do Guincho (215m) are located in the northeastern part of Porto Santo island. The designation "Guincho" may have originated in the observation on place, a occasionally migratory species, the Guincho- comum (Chroicocephalus ridibundus), a small gull, relatively abundant in Portugal, from July to March.
In the way and at the foot of Pico do Guincho you can see the impressive Pico Branco north face, the Ilhéu das Cenouras (carrots islet), the Baixa do Meio and further away from the coast, the Ihéu de For a (Away islet). To the west, there is the perspective of Juliana Pico, with its conical-shaped rocky and at the base a small, but vigorous cupressus forest.
Attention: even if your GPS to indicate another location, this cache is in a safe and accessible place - Observe the spoiler.
The Cache: In a small deviation from the path of beginning of the access to Terra Chã-Pico Branco, follow up to the top of the slope (RF2) and then by the ridge, down to the foot of Pico Guincho, where you will find this cache. Progress with spacing from the cliffs. Be prudent, evaluate your capabilities and the way to go. After registering this cache, leave it as found.
