Come on out to McCloud Nature Park for a fun morning hike at 10:00 a.m. Park at the Nature Center, and we will take off from there!
Welcome to beautiful McCloud Nature Park in Hendricks County! I've been meaning to plan a hike here for quite some time, and after a little "push" from a fellow cacher, I'm finally getting it done. We will be meeting at the Nature Center and starting our hike promptly at 10:00 a.m. Bring plenty of water, and wear proper hiking attire. If you choose to veer off the trail at any point for any reason, you could run into stinging nettles, poison ivy, etc, so pants would be the better option. There are over 6 miles of trails to be explored, and if you enjoy bird watching, you might want to bring along binoculars or a camera.
The Nature Center is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but there are nice restroom facilities still available. At the conclusion of our hike, I will be heading into North Salem for a late lunch at Perillos, if you'd like to join me there. They have a varied menu and serve adult beverages as well.
