A2B&B - Axmansford to Baughurst and Back
A pleasant circular walk through byways and paths in this pretty and unspoilt corner of North Hampshire.
approximately 3 miles.
The byway at the start of this walk can be very muddy and also flooded in three places. You can pass the first flooded area by sneaking through the undergrowth on the right hand side for about 20 yards and along the side of the next two small (5 yards) flooded areas. Not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs. Strong waterproof footwear recommended.
after the first by-way the route takes you along good quality footpaths through pasture and fields and spinney's.
Parking is not easy but there are several places where you can choose to park on the verge or adjacent to an unused gateway - please do not block access to property or gateways in use. It is possible to start this walk from various points. Between number 10 and 1 it is necessary to walk along a country road , for about 750/800 yards, which carries light traffic but fast traffic. Please make sure you keep children and dogs under close control and be very aware of the bends.
