Hylton Castle Visitor Guide Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Dalesman: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to recent logs or logged into geocaching.com for some time I am archiving it.

Guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."

If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

Many thanks,
DalesmanX

Geocache Description:

This Geocache was made by the pupils of Hylton Red House Primary and Bishop Harland C of E Primary School. The contents of the Geocache is a QR code that when scanned will take you to a online visitor guide to Hylton Castle. The guide contains information collected and created by over 50 pupils from both schools.

Please take the time to look at their website and leave a message so that they know what you think.

Happy geocaching! :)

Our geocache can be found at ground level. Look for an + on the floor within a garden path to the right of the castle (as you are looking at it), the cache is hidden within box hedging on one corner. The cache in a small plastic container that holds a QR code (which has been laminated to keep it water proof, but makes it a little hard to scan to please be patient). The cache also contains a small notebook at pencil, please find the time to leave a message for the pupils letting them know what you think of their hard work.
