Geocache Description:

we COME, we CLEAN, we BATHE  !!!!

Lady's Mile is a place I remember since I was a little girl. Clean, shallow waters, warm sand and lots of games on the coast! Unfortunately, these memories are infected with the huge amount of thrash lying across the road, the beach and sometimes in the water too. 

And that's where WE can help! With the help and support of CYMEPA, an organization which’s goal is the cleanliness of our beaches across the country, and the support of YOUNG CYPRUS GREENS, we are actually able to create a group big enough and change this place. I realize that Lady's Mile is quite long (8 km, from the port's entrance down to the British Bases) but I took some time and explored the place, finding the places needing our attention a bit more.

The coordinates will lead you to a place a bit far from the coast, but it is a place which due to the fact that it is not used that often is filled with trash no one has the time to clean. From broken chairs down to monitors, from hundreds of empty plastic bottles down to empty cans, this place is a trash heaven! And that's what we are asked to clean up! 

         

We will clean a larger area depending on how many people will gather!



Now to the organization of the event:

6:50 - 7:00 - We will gather at the parking space of the last restaurant of Lady's Mile.
7:10 - We will walk towards the cleaning area, gathering along the way anything we can.
7:15 - 9:45 - It's cleaning time!!!
9:50 - We'll gather for a group photo.
9:53 - We'll walk back to our cars! Anyone wanting to cool off can go for a swim!
10:00 - END of the event.



NECESSARY things to bring with you: Athletic shoes, Hats, Water! * swimsuit optional :) *

 
 
CYMEPA will be giving us gloves to help with the cleaning. We'll be bringing more water and huge trash bags!
 
Throughout the event a car trunk will be in our disposal to help with the trash bags.
