Geocache Description:

Welcome to the first ever Wherigo cache made by CACCBAG....well, conceived by CACCBAG but made with the Earwigo program and through the skills of a friend on the other side of the ocean: the mighty Geo-Magician! Also, special thanks to geocacher Jimbexleyspeed for all his effort and help.

At one point you will need the information in this image:
The original GZ has been destroyed. Once you get to the final GZ - look on the fence at the right of the fence (low) for a camo bison tube. If that is missing, about ten feet (3 meters) to the right in the tree is a second back-up replacement.
ALL - THE SECOND TO LAST STAGE IS NOW BLOCKED BY CONSTRUCTION. PLEASE LOOK AT MY NOTE OF MAY 8, 2014 TO GET THE INFORMATION YOU WILL NEED.

Not only is this our first Wherigo...we believe it is the first Wherigo in all of San Francisco city and county...so go get it!
In this Wherigo, you will be led through a series of sites in the City of San Francisco.  Each site was included in at least one major motion picture.  At each location, we will give you some information of the location, some local history and some San Francisco trivia.

At each location, you will meet a famous movie star.  That movie star will also share some movie trivia with you, but at a price! They will ask you to locate a certain object (we will show you a photo of it) and you must answer a question for us based upon information found in or on those objects.

If you are correct, we will help get you to the next destination.   If you are wrong....well, there are plenty of pubs and cafes around.   You can take San Francisco's public transportation (Muni) between many of the stops or you can walk it.   It is approximately a 5.5 mile walk point-to-point (approximately 9km).  Took us 2 hours 15 minutes (including time at a coffee shop and a store to grab some water) - but we walked the entire path.  If you use Muni, you could shave about one hour. The terrain rating is based upon the overall distance plus the hills.

In theory, every location and the path in between them is wheelchair accessible (Muni stations have elevators)- however, it may take some time with the distance, the final requires an extremely short "off road" distance, and there are some steep hills. The same thing goes for strollers - but we did it pushing Gabi the entire distance (with some huffing and puffing at times).

You must download the Wherigo cartridge, made with the Earwigo program, (you will need a device that supports Whereigo - thus the special tool attribute.)  It is available here: Movie Trail

If you follow our intended path, you will avoid undesirable areas - but still you may want to avoid this one in the dark. It will take you through some great areas and some areas that have seen better days. But again, completely safe during the day - and if you opt for Muni, you will get through it quicker and avoid all questionable areas.

At the end is a good-sized final cache with plenty of goodies - PLEASE USE STEALTH! YOU WILL BE EXPOSED - SO BE VERY CAREFUL REMOVING AND ESPECIALLY CAREFUL RE-HIDING FROM VIEW! IF YOU HAVE TO, REMOVE IT, WALK AWAY, SIGN THE LOG, AND RETURN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE WHEN MUGGLE EYES ARE NOT WATCHING. RE-HIDE IT OUT OF SIGHT PLEASE. IT IS HIDDEN BY ARTIFICIAL MOSS AND NATURAL CAMO NOW - PLEASE PLACE BACK UP IN THE HIDING PLACE WELL AND USE THE CAMO TO MAKE SURE IT REMAINS HIDDEN.

I have tested this on computer and walking. Geo-Magician has put in countless hours. But please know - there may be hiccups and for that we apologize. San Francisco's downtown is not friendly to GPS - so if the game shows that you are within 16 feet of the zone, or within the zone, and nothing is happening - please give it a little time. Those high-rise buildings play havoc with gps signals.

Most of all, we hope you have fun, learn a bit of San Francisco history and learn a bit of movies filmed in San Francisco.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
