Geocache Description:

Cache is a micro placed on the opposite side and further down the road to the church due to proximity of a dwelling.
HINT AMENDED DUE TO NEW POSITION OF CACHE.

St Mary, Monknash
Of all the churches in the Rectorial Benefice of Llantwit major, Monknash is probably the simplest in style and architecture. It is of early 12th century foundation, and the name of the village in which it is situated arose from the fact that it became a grange of Neath Abbey.
The church has been much restored and the architecture shows a number of influences, for example in the windows. The floor of the chancel is covered with the gravestones of local families of years gone by.The registers date back to 1754 and the church is a Grade 2* listed building.

“If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
There is also a Church Micro Stats page found via the Bookmark list”
