Budai Arborétum
Az ország egyik leggazdagabb arborétuma övezi a kertészeti felsőoktatás fellegvárának keretet adó Budapest Corvinus Egyetem Budai Campusának épületegyüttesét. Az Arborétum a Gellérthegy déli lábánál terül el, a Villányi út – Szüret utca – Somlói út között. Területét a Ménesi út két, korban és jellegében elváló részre osztja az Alsó és a Felső kertre.
Rade Károly német származású kertész-dendrológus vezetésével és tervei alapján 1893-94-ben kezdődött meg a 1000-féle fa és cserje és 90 évelő faj elhelyezése az akkori tanintézet körül, mintegy 3 hektárnyi területen.
Az Arborétum jelenlegi növényanyaga közel 1640 fásszárú dísznövény fajt és fajtát, valamint több száz hagymás virágot és csaknem 250-féle évelő dísznövényt foglal magában.
Az Arborétum munkaidőben ingyenesen látogatható.

Arboretum in Buda
One of the richest arboretums is surrounding the Buda Campus building complex of Budapest Corvinus University providing frames for higher horticultural education. The Arboretum occupies the south slope of Gellért Hill, between Villányi Road - Szüret Street - Somlói road. Its area is separated into two parts by the Ménesi road differing in both era and style, they are the Lower and the Upper Garden.
Under the leadership and based on the plans of German-born gardener-dendrologist Károly Rade in 1893-94, they began the installation of 1000 different tree and shrub and 90 perennial species around the educational institutions at that time, on about three hectares.
The current plant material of the Arboretum includes nearly 1640 woody ornamental species and varieties and there are hundreds of onion flowers and almost 250 kinds of ornamental perennial plants.
The Arboretum is open and can be visited free of charge during working hours.
