A minha segunda cache e a segunda de sempre em S. Pedro da Torre.
My second cache and the second ever in S. Pedro da Torre.
(PT) S. Pedro da Torre já foi, em tempos, uma vila, durante os séculos XII e XIII. É uma das povoações mais antigas e históricas do país, por onde passava a estrada real e onde terminava a via marítima romana, que partía de Braga em direção a Vigo (Espanha). Os romanos deixaram duas pontes em S. Pedro da Torre, como património edificado deste mesmo trajeto.
Alguns pontos de interesse a visitar são a igreja paroquial de S. Pedro da Torre e a fonte de água hipossalina, usada pelos romanos e que ainda hoje se mantém em funcionamento.
O brasão de armas desta freguesia é um escudo verde, com uma faixa de 5 listas ondeadas de azul e prateado, com duas chaves, uma dourada, outra prateada, imediatamente acima e, abaixo, um cacho de uvas douradas folhado a prata. Por último, um listel branco identifica "S. PEDRO DA TORRE", a letras negras.
O propósito desta cache é de mostrar aos visitantes o jardim que faz parte dos "eirados" da igreja, um local muito frequentado, principalmente pela população mais jovem da localidade.

(ENG) S. Pedro da Torre once was a town, during the XII and XIII centuries. It's one of the most ancient and historic townships of the country, being part of the royalty road and where the roman nautical road ended, wich started in Braga, to Vigo (Spain). The romans left two bridges, as a material patrimony of this route.
Some interesting places to visit in this location are s. pedro da torre's church and a salt restricted water fountain, used by the romans and still in use today.
The coat of arms of this parish is a green shield, with an 5 waved blue and silver strips band, two keys, one golden and one argent, above the band, and, under it, one bunch of golden grapes with silver leafs. Last, one white band indentifies "S. PEDRO DA TORRE" in black letters.
The purpose of this cache is to show to foreigners the gardens that are part of the church "eirados", a place very attended, especially by the younger population.
