THIS CACHE IS UNDER WATER. Go boating, go swimming. This is a simple dry cache under about 7ft of water.
Green Bay near Portland on Big Rideau Lake is formed in part by a large private island. On the West shore of the island is a small bay and a rocky shallow with good fishing.
To get this cache you will need a boat and a swim suit (goggles recommended). There is no access from the land, as it is all private. There are boat rentals and a public launch in the nearby town of Portland (44° 41.956'N, 76° 11.498'W).
The listed coordinates will bring you directly to ground zero, and a simple dive is all that is required. Located in about 10-12 ft of water, the cache floats about 7 ft under water and is visible from the surface in most weather conditions. This is a dry cache and you will need to bring it to the surface to sign the log book.
Make sure to post pictures if you go for a swim!
