Advanced base camp for Pik Lenina (7134m) (sometimes called Camp 1) is a place accessible without any special equipment. Some travel agencies even offer trekking with guide to this place. I wish you good weather and clear sky so you can enjoy the view on all surrounding summits.
If you stand below this second highest Pamir peak, you can see a long line of climbers trying to move over crevasses on their walk to camp 2 (C2) in the morning or back to relative luxury and safety of C1. Several agencies' camps are standing around, you can buy there some tea or food or rent a tent if they have some empty. The walk from the plateau with base camps up may take 4-6hours and it should be 3-4hours to go back.
You will be moving in the altitude of approx. 4400m above sea. Some acclimatization should be done before you get here and you should definitely not overestimate any problems with your head nor any other sign of mountain sickness!
