Welcome to our Travel Bug Hotel, conviently located on the border between Surrey and Kent. There is another Hotel on the South services, and it is possible to walk between the two service areas by using the Emergency Exits. It might be possible to drive it, but there are traffic barriers that are periodically enabled!
This is a large cache pot hidden in the main car park, and it is possible to stop your car within 10 feet of the cache, but beware of muggles on a busy day. Please make sure it is well hidden so that the bush trimmers don't find it.
Easy cache and dash while stopping at the services for a comfort break on the way somewhere interesting, or you can park here and make the most of the 2 hour free parking by doing a few of the others in the local area. Access also possible from the old Clacket Lane off the A25 between Limpsfield and Westerham. Here are some interesting and little known facts about Clacket Lane and the surrounding area: The services are situated below the North Downs, and just a very short drive away from some wonderful views from the Pilgrims Way to London and beyond. The original planning application for the services had them down as 'Titsey Woods', but this was changed for no known reason (although it's often claimed that the owners feared that no-one would take the name 'Titsey services' seriously), so they went for Clacket Lane instead. In each amenity building there is a large cabinet titled 'The History of Titsey Woods', which has several Roman artefacts which were discovered whilst the services were constructed. When the site was expanded, the sliproads became incredibly short so they were eventually extended to improve safety, leaving four very clear 'ghost exits' on the carriageway. It also explains why the access roads through the services appear to head for the motorway and then curve away from it.
