Geocaching in Pumpkin, Texas!

Gene Kelton (April 10, 1953 – December 28, 2010) was an American guitarist, harmonica player and singer-songwriter, based in Baytown, Texas. He played Americana, blues-rock, Southern rock and rockabilly music.  Mean Gene Kelton was killed on December 28, 2010 two days before he was due to perform on New Years Eve at Rowdy Buck's in Crosby, Texas.  Gene is buried here in Pine Valley Cemetery. Located east of New Waverly off highway #150. Turn left on Farm Road #2778. A short distance after passing the Winters Memorial Cemetery, the road becomes #2693. There is a sign pointing to the church and cemetery, which is about one-half mile.
