Lisbon Night Geo-Bike Tour - GeocoinFest 2012 Event Cache

Este Evento, proporciona o convívio entre Geocachers, e fomenta o gosto pela prática de desporto, demonstrando como será divertido fazê-lo em ambiente urbano nocturno.

O percurso é relativamente fácil. Tem cerca de 16 kilómetros e é circular. Começa e termina no mesmo local, que dispõe de um vasto parque de estacionamento.

O percurso oscila entre o plano, uma ligeira pendente de descida na primeira metade, e uma ligeira pendente de subida na segunda metade. É bastante recomendável mesmo para crianças.

This Event is a nice opprtunity to visit the most interesting places and landmarks in the center of our wonderful Lisbon, while cycling and caching, among a pack of Geocachers.

It's a perfect comitment between sport, tourism and nightcaching. Bring also your photo shooter. It will be fun.

It's an easy circuit even for children, with 16 kilometers, mostly flat with a smooth downhill on the first half and a smooth uphill on the second half. It will start and finish at the same spot.

Ponto de encontro

O ponto de encontro é o das coordenadas publicadas, junto à Cantina Velha da Universidade de Lisboa. A zona é servida por uma magnífica rede de transportes públicos: Autocarros: 31 - 35 - 738 - 755 - 764 e Metro: Linha Amarela (estação da Cidade Universitária).

Para quem vier de carro, há inúmeros parques de estacionamento que servem a universidade, que nesta altura do ano estão completamente vazios. 

Concentração

A concentração será às 21.00 horas. A essa hora será dado um pequeno briefing em português sobre a segurança e cuidados a ter ao longo do percurso. Às 21.15 horas será dado o mesmo briefing mas em inglês

Percurso

O percurso será um circuito urbano, para que inicie e termine no mesmo local, minimizando a logística de transporte das bicicletas. Pelo meio faremos várias paragens (passaremos eventualmente mais tempo apeados que a pedalar). 

O início está previsto para as 21.30 horas e o final, estima-se por volta da uma da manhã. Embora o objectivo seja o de promover o gosto pelo ciclismo, nomeadamente em ambiente urbano, quem desejar fazer o percurso a pé, ou noutro meio de transporte ecológico também é bem vindo.

Material Obrigatório:

- Bicicleta (Btt ou Estrada)

- Capacete

- Iluminação à frente (frontal) e atrás (vermelha)

- Uma peça de vestuário reflector

Meeting point

The meeting point is at the published coordinates, in front of the Cantina Velha at the Lisbon University. The area is very well served by public transportation: Bus: 31 - 35 - 738 - 755 - 764 and Metro (Underground): Yellow Circuit (station: Cidade Universitária).

Anywone who comes in car, there are a lot of parking places nearby. Due to holidays in August there are plenty of free places.

Timetable:

You should be at the meeting point at 9.15 PM, to attend the briefing in english, about safety and the circuit. We'll depart at 9.30 PM. The Geocachers who needs to rent-a-bike, should be at the meeting point at 8.45 PM.

Rent-a-Bike

For the foreigners who'll attend the Event, we'll provide a Rent-a-Bike service. The price should be something between 13 to 16€, depending the number of the pack.

Everyone who need to rent a bike, please add in your Will Attend log, the number of bikes you need to rent, name of the persons, height and gender (M/F).

The renting should include also the helmet, but you can bring your own if you prefer.

We're negociating with the rent-a-bike to include:
