Welcome to the 5 annual north vs. south super soaker flash mob event.
The definition of a Flash Mob is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a brief period of time, then quickly disperse.
There is a $5.00 parking fee to enter the parkway. You can park elsewhere and walk/ride/float in.
The winning team will get bragging rights for one year.
In 2008 the north won a close battle, but the south won out in 2009 due to greater numbers and firepower. In 2010 the north made quick work of the unorganized south and in 2011 the north pulled out a victory with a late surge.
At 10:45am each side will meet at their respective coordinates. Where you live determines what side you are on………..north of the river fights for the north and so on.
At 10:57 each side will advance to the middle of the bridge. The Generals will meet, shake hands, turn walk ten paces and the war is on. The engagement will last 2 minutes.
After the Flash mob some folks will gather on the north side for a meal and others plan a float downstream to River Bend (2-3hours). If you plan on floating the river, feel free to use this page to arrange rides to and from.
Rules..... No water balloons. No soaking muggles. No physical contact allowed.
This is a kid friendly event……young and old. Watch your toes, S.N. Monster
