Geocache Description:

P&M's 50 Cache Dash is a series of fifty caches placed along a scenic route south east of Pretoria. The route runs along Rietvlei Nature Reserve for the first stretch, so be sure to do some game spotting as well as cache spotting, and then runs through some more rural and agricultural areas before heading back towards Pretoria again.

We have tried to mix things up along the way so some caches will be easy to find and others will be more difficult, the container sizes and types are not all the same and their hiding spots should hopefully also keep you guessing as you go. We placed this series as our way of saying thank you for all the fun we have had in our first year of geocaching, so we really hope that you enjoy it and have fun too!

Time for a bit of a detour. We first discovered this pretty country lane when we came to look for a cache called Bluegum Lane 83 (GC2TPZA) by Cabey. Ever since then, we think of this road as Bluegum Lane and we wanted to share it with you too while you are doing this series.

At the listed coordinates, you will find some signs. You need to find the Bestonia Kennels sign as well as the Little Eden sign. You will need to use the cell number on the Bestonia Kennels sign and the large Johannesburg number on the Little Eden sign to calculate the final coordinates.

The final coordinates are:

S 25° AB.CDE and E 28° FG.HIJ

where

A = 7th digit on Bestonia Kennels sign
B = 2nd digit on Bestonia kennels sign
C = 4th digit of large number on Little Eden sign
D = 1st digit on Bestonia Kennels sign
E = 2nd digit of large number on Little Eden sign

and

F = 2nd digit plus 3rd digit of large number on Little Eden sign
G = 3rd digit on Bestonia Kennels sign
H = 5th digit on Bestonia Kennels sign
I = 9th didit on Bestonia Kennels sign
J = 2nd digit plus last digit of large number on Little Eden sign

Enjoy your trip down Bluegum Lane!
