Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the Bovey Valley Woodlands mystery cache so don’t forget to write down the number in the pot. Answer = n

To get to this cache from the Old Manaton Road one continue along the track, past the pudding stone, and when you reach the gate with Hisley Bridge beyond cross the river there.

This cache is in memory of the great oak tree that stood in the middle of Rudge meadow and sadly came to its demise in 2011. Hopefully you will notice part of its trunk in the meadow on the way to, or from, this cache in its new position. The cache was originally hidden by the trunk but due to it being regularly affected by flooding, and in the last one completely washed away, we have now moved it to a higher position a little bit away from the old tree.
