You're finally at the top overlooking Hyde Park, Smithfield, and most of northern Cache Valley. What a view! My GPSr says the elevation is 8000 ft.
Among the trees and shrubs around you is one called curlyleaf mahogany (Cercocarpus ledifolius). It thrives in these dry, rocky, mountain soils at elevations between 6500 and 8500 feet, and is an important plant for local big game species in winter. If you're not certain what curlyleaf mahogany looks like you should view the image gallery before you get here.
The cache container is a small plastic orange match case holding a pencil and a log sheet. No room for any trading items. The container is at the base of a mahogany tree.
Congratulations to dfly57 for the FTF
