Geocache Description:

The cache is located near one of my favourite views!

To get there you have 3 options.  I have picked the shortest, most rewarding but steepest route:

Park in Bourne End as near to the river as possible.  When you reach the river just off Wharf Lane, turn left and follow the Thames path as far as the railway bridge spanning the river.  Go over the bridge and when you are facing the river again on the Berkshire bank, turn right and find the path that leads round the back of the bridge into Cock Marsh (Common Land).  Take the diagonal path (not found on an ordnance survey map) to the bottom of the steep slope of Winter Hill (note the ancient tumuli to your right) and take the diagonal VERY STEEP chalk path up the hill.  At the top of the path, take a rest.
The view shows the whole of Bourne End and is one of my favourite river views.  If you've picked the right moment, you'll see the 'Marlow Donkey' train passing parallel to the river, and with the herd of cows grazing in the field way below you, the whole effect looks like a toy train set with accesories!
Now, turn to the East and walk into the spinney of trees - the cache (a camouflaged box full of goodies) is hidden, awaiting you.

You can also reach the cache from Cookham (The Pound car park - fairly steep walk) or Cookham Dean (Winter Hill car park - not a steep walk).  Check an ordnance survey map for the paths.
