Gesticulate Sequence 2 #60 Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

AddHam: I was driving by this one on the way out to Caledonia and realized how long it's been since it was found. It's time for this one to go but if you happened to wonder how it was solved, those who got a Signal Series Pathtag got the coordinates pretty easily. Those that didn't, needed to find the coords on their own. Here's a link to where they are...

Geocache Description:

This cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. Do not go there. Check below for more info on this specific SSII hide.

Welcome to the Signal Series!
This series of caches is directly based on the first Signal Series that was located just northwest of Lafayette, IN.

The Back Story
Back when we were somewhat new to geocaching I came up with the idea to write something in the landscape with geocaches. (little did I know the idea had probably been done before) I thought writing my name would be a tad bit selfish and decided to do something that would appeal to all cachers. Signal the Frog. They were all traditional caches where I was able to place them and those that landed on private property were unknown caches with a simple math puzzle to determine the coordinates. The original series included 42 geocaches and, with a little prepwork, they could all be found in one day. Big numbers back then...especially for the area! Unfortunately, we had to move and no one was willing to adopt the entire series so it was time to end it after a good run.

The Second Series
I've always missed having the original series. It was a big hit and seemed to draw people from all around. And when we heard that some people around here even drove down for it, we knew it was time for a comeback.

It wasn't easy finding a large area that was devoid of caches in Western Michigan but you'll find that the series covers approximately 30 sqaure miles between Caledonia and Wayland, MI. It also covers 3 counties.

I also knew that if I were to bring the series back, I'd have to go bigger and better. In SSII, you'll get 59 caches (including the kickoff meet and greet). Again, with some preparation beforehand, you'll be able to hit all caches in one day. And, this time you'll get 6 cache types as well!

These Caches
Most of the containers are camoed pill bottles. They contain a logsheet only inside a ziplock bag. Make sure you BYOP. Make sure you seal the bags up well; the pill bottles are not fully waterproof. I will be maintaining these caches, of course, but please bring extra logsheets/baggies/etc with you on this run to replace anything you may find wrong between my upkeep runs.

You will also encounter a few small sized containers and they are noted on the corresponding pages. Any Puzzle caches in this series, like before, are simple and can be done before your run is made...for easy planning. The 2 Wherigo caches are also "play anywhere" so you can do them beforehand as well.

This Cache
Your path to solve this puzzle will NOT be too easy. It is, in fact the hardest puzzle in the SSII series but it is possible for anyone to obtain the coordinates. If you search in the right place (nowhere near the posted coords) you can find them. There's no math involved. You may even get the chance to have them "handed" to you...if you're lucky. You will not be given any hints so do not ask. This is meant to be difficult. The terrain rating is accurate once you have the coordinates. Good Luck.

Congrats to JBExpress and CacherX4 to be the first to figure out the puzzle on their own and to johngie for the FTF! (oh and Krazy_Kidz for being krazy-sneaky)
