Officially, Area 51 is a remote strip of land about 90 miles north of Las Vegas that the Air Force uses to test new military aircraft. Unofficially, it's a storage and examination site for crashed alien spaceships, a meeting spot for extraterrestrials, and a breeding ground for weather control and time travel technology.
Because the U.S. government won't discuss what goes on at Area 51, inquiring minds have had to develop their own theories. However, there is a lot that goes on at Area 51, some of which has been explained, some of which hasn't. That's where I come in.
My Story:
To begin, you can call me John Smith. That's not my real name, but it's the name the people I need you to talk to know me as. I used to work high up in the CIA for several years. Really high up. As in "Top Secret clearance" high up. I know what went on behind closed doors. I know which conspiracy theories are true, and which aren't. I've planned and executed missions to topple foreign governments. I even got to visit Area 51 one time.
Unfortunately, about a year and a half ago, an enemy agent blew my cover, and I've been on the lam ever since. However, there are some contacts at Area 51 that I need to get in touch with, and that's where you come in. I can confirm that yes, aliens have touched down there, and yes, we have made peaceful contact with them. However, all is not as it seems.
I've had a few aliens sneak into my hotel at night, disguised as humans, leaving a message I've been unable to decipher. I've seen strange signals in the sky at night, ones that aren't part of the arranged signals to Area 51. I need you to make contact with this person at Area 51, using the secure email address I've encoded below. I'm sorry, but this is too sensitive to be recorded without being coded. I'm sure you'll be able to decipher it. You're smart enough. Good luck.

This Series:
This cache is part of the SPACE 2081: A Geocaching Odyssey challenge.
This challenge contains one cache of each difficulty and terrain combination, plus a final cache which can be found only after finding all 81 caches that are part of the series. Each of those 81 caches will contain a code, which you will use as part of the puzzle to solve the FINAL CACHE.
