A mini multi in the centre of Perth, walk suitable for buggies and wheelchair users.
The River Tay is the longest river in Scotland and the seventh-longest in the United Kingdom. It is the largest river in the UK by volume of discharge.
The Tay originates in western Scotland on the slopes of Ben Lui, flows easterly across the Highlands, through Strathtay then southeasterly through Perth, where it becomes tidal, to its mouth at the Firth of Tay, south of Dundee.
The Tay is internationally renowned for its Atlantic salmon fishing and is one of the best salmon rivers in the United Kingdom, and western Europe, attracting anglers from all over the world.
Several mammals can be found including seals that swim upstream as far as Stanley, otters, beaver, water voles, water rats and bats in the lade tunnels. A family of Heron nest on the wee Island, a peregrine falcon lives in the nearby church spire and an Osprey visits every summer.
Just two places to visit looking for river dwellers, collect numbers and work out the final coordinates as you walk southwards from the page coordinates along Tay street. You shouldn't need the extra waypoints but they are there should you need them.
First head for the water ripple seat and count how many fish are dipping in the huge wave..... A B
