Denistone Railway Station has local historical significance. While there was some development in the local area prior to the construction of the station, it encouraged the increasing subdivision and suburban residential development of the immediate vicinity. Denistone Station is also one of a number of Inter-War railway stations in NSW that collectively demonstrate changes taking place in society between the wars, a time of great social upheaval in the aftermath of WWI and the Great Depression, with WWII looming. Its design tangibly demonstrates the railway's response to these wider social changes and the impacts they had on architectural design at the time.
Cache is located along the path from the street and then down the hill, parallel to the tracks.
